Water quality is Hydrogen carbonate springs which is said to be gentle on the skin and less likely to cause irritation. It is also known as the ""family bath"" as it is safe for those with sensitive skin from baby to elderly.
In addition, our hot springs contain 2.5 times more metasilicic acid, a natural moisturizing ingredient that is necessary to be called ""beauty baths,"" than the standard level (255ml). It may make your skin smoother.

Yugoya x Ofuyu

"Ofuyu" opened with the cooperation of Yugoya Onsen Monogatari, located in Hinatayama Onsen, Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture.

Yugoya Monogatari is a leading private bath industry, having opened Japan's first "family bath" in 1971. Based on the belief that "the greatest happiness in life is for families to bathe together and chat," this wonderful family bath continues to evolve with the times, providing better service.

Hinatayama Onsen is unique in that most of its hot spring facilities are family baths, demonstrating the deep cultural roots of family baths in the region. Among these, Yugoya Monogatari incorporates a variety of services and concepts to provide an entertaining family bath. We visited the facility ourselves, and found it to be a very pleasant family bath, meticulously cleaned and well-maintained.

It's a moving sight that evokes a sense of peace and nostalgia in the viewer's heart, evoking the extraordinary exhilaration of "coming to a hot spring resort," the energy of the earth, and the warmth that blends seamlessly into people's lives.

Our shop name, "Ofuyu," is a combination of the Japanese words "off" and "yu" (hot water), likening the time spent relaxing in a hot spring to "off."

Our logo is designed to depict rising, overlapping steam. The soft curves express the relaxed feeling of "off," and represent the casualness and lightness of "Ofuyu," a part of everyday life.

Water Quality: Sodium bicarbonate spring (hypotonic, weak alkaline, pH 7.7)

Characteristics: This colorless, transparent bath is known for its skin-beautifying properties, with a softness similar to that of lotion. Information regarding the use of private rooms by those under 18 (high school students and younger) alone

In accordance with the Oita Prefecture Youth Protection and Development Ordinance, we generally prohibit the use of private rooms (family baths) by those under 18 alone.

What is the usage time?

Can I extend my stay? What is the additional charge?

Due to the nature of our private baths, which can be reserved in advance, we may decline your extension request on the day if there is a waiting guest. To ensure you can enjoy your precious relaxation time uninterrupted, we strongly recommend that you select a course with ample time (90-240 minutes) that includes an extension when making your reservation.

Is there a space to rest?

The bath and open-air rooms only have changing areas, but the sauna and slide rooms have a resting area.

Is there a TV?

We have TVs in the "slide" and "sauna" rooms. You can enjoy YouTube on a 50-inch screen. If you have an account, you can also enjoy Netflix and other services.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes, all rooms are equipped with free Wi-Fi.

You can comfortably use the Wi-Fi during long leisurely activities, while resting after a bath, or while your children watch videos without worrying about data usage. The SSID (network name) and password are posted in each room, so please make use of them.

Is there a refrigerator? Can I keep drinks chilled?

Refrigerators are installed in the roomes with slide and sauna. No other rooms have refrigerators.

Can I smoke? (Are the rooms non-smoking? Are there smoking areas?)

Our entire facility, including the premises, is non-smoking.

To ensure that all guests can refresh themselves in the aroma of hot springs and clean air, there are no smoking areas in the rooms or on the premises (including the parking lot).

Is the facility barrier-free?

We strive to make our facilities as comfortable as possible for guests who use wheelchairs or have mobility issues. However, there are some areas where assistance may be required, such as moving from the changing room to the bathroom and getting in and out of the bathtub.

Yes, of course. Even infants and toddlers can enjoy the bath safely.

Our hot springs are "weakly alkaline" with a pH of 7.7, making them gentle on the skin and extremely soft to the touch. The water is gentle even on delicate baby skin, so please rest assured.

Our family baths are also completely private, so you can enjoy your time without worrying about others, even if your child cries or gets very active. You can also take your time changing diapers and clothes at your own pace.

We encourage you to use our facility as a place for your child's "hot spring debut."

Do you rent cribs, baby baths, and bath chairs?

We have a limited number of bath chairs available for rental (for children aged 3 to 10 months). We also have baby mats available.

Can I bring toys with me?
