Water quality is Hydrogen carbonate springs which is said to be gentle on the skin and less likely to cause irritation. It is also known as the ""family bath"" as it is safe for those with sensitive skin from baby to elderly.
In addition, our hot springs contain 2.5 times more metasilicic acid, a natural moisturizing ingredient that is necessary to be called ""beauty baths,"" than the standard level (255ml). It may make your skin smoother.

To that end, we offer free towel rentals so you can come empty-handed, and we also offer online reservations for private hot spring rooms, which was previously difficult to do.

"Ofuyu" opened with the cooperation of Yugoya Onsen Monogatari, located in Hinatayama Onsen, Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture.
Yugoya Monogatari is a leading private bath industry, having opened Japan's first "family bath" in 1971. Based on the belief that "the greatest happiness in life is for families to bathe together and chat," this wonderful family bath continues to evolve with the times, providing better service.
Hinatayama Onsen is unique in that most of its hot spring facilities are family baths, demonstrating the deep cultural roots of family baths in the region. Among these, Yugoya Monogatari incorporates a variety of services and concepts to provide an entertaining family bath. We visited the facility ourselves, and found it to be a very pleasant family bath, meticulously cleaned and well-maintained.

Beppu's symbol is the steam rising from various parts of the city. It's a moving sight that evokes a sense of peace and nostalgia in the viewer's heart, evoking the extraordinary exhilaration of "coming to a hot spring resort," the energy of the earth, and the warmth that blends seamlessly into people's lives.
Our shop name, "Ofuyu," is a combination of the Japanese words "off" and "yu" (hot water), likening the time spent relaxing in a hot spring to "off."
Our logo is designed to depict rising, overlapping steam. The soft curves express the relaxed feeling of "off," and represent the casualness and lightness of "Ofuyu," a part of everyday life.
Secret Point - Hidden within the logo is a "face immersed in happiness." Try to find it!
The bathroom walls of the three "Bath and Slide" rooms are decorated with Beppu Sento art, featuring seasonal Beppu scenery and cute animals enjoying Beppu.
These original sento art were created by Sadami Fujisawa, an illustrator born and living in Beppu City. Please enjoy the art as you soak in the hot springs.
